To Proclaim

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. (Luke 4:18-19)

If we say the spirit of A is on a person, it means A's spirit is alive in this person who will then manifest as A, saying what A will say and doing what A will do.

In those days, the Lord Jesus was full of the power of the Holy Spirit. He entered the synagogue, took the scroll of Isaiah that was handed to Him, and unrolled it to find 61:1-2. The first sentence He read out was "The Spirit of the Lord is on me." When the Holy Spirit is on Jesus, He can "preach" and "proclaim".

We are in the “business” of gospel broadcast, that is, we are to trumpet the good news via broadcasting. It is written in our mission statement that TWRHK is to proclaim the gospel of salvation to as many Chinese people as possible.

When the Spirit of the Lord is on us, we don't actually have to "do" things like free the prisoners, recover sight for the blind, set the oppressed free, or set up the year of God’s favor. They are done by God Himself; we just need to "proclaim", to open the mouth and speak, and speak loudly.

That's why we're here to proclaim aloud: "Trans World Radio belongs to God. We beg You to lead those with Your calling to come and rebuild this land together with us."

I need a CE Assistant to help me. If you hear the call, please come to me!
